There's only one big faction in Puerto Rico. It's the faction that wants to continue getting everything for nothing.

It's divided up into 3 sub-factions.

The Independence Party thinks it can continue to extort everything PR's already receiving from the United States and have fun making havock out of international politics.

The Commonweath Party believes that theirs is the best way for Puerto Rico to extort more dollars from the U.S. Taxpayers.

The Statehood Party knows they'll be able too vote themselves even more U.S. Taxpayer's dollars when they send 2 Liberal Senators and 4 to 6 Liberal Representatives to Congress.

All 3 Parties want something for nothing.

No conservative would be for what the residents of Puerto Rico want.

Talk about specific dollars. Puerto Ricans are US citizens. They aren't leaving. You can't do anything about it, and I don't want to.

So if the $18 billion bugs you, and it might bug me if I knew specifically what it was spent on, then that is where you have to focus your attention.

Remember, they have no representation in Congress, which is where the money gets spent. They get whatever we decide to send them. If there is a specific budget item that is misspent, then that is what we work on.

If the $18 billion includes money for Coast Guard, or other federal institutions, then there is nothing you can do about it. If it is spent on stuff that is strictly local spending, then that is something to look at.

But things are not going to be looking up for you. We are getting ready to establish a protectorate in Baghdad, and another one in Cuba within 4 or 5 years. Brace yourself.
