New today: a pair of forecast and satellite maps for Afghanistan. Also, just above are a couple of very large satellite pics of Iraq, which show burning oil wells.
Once again, feel free to post any Iraq war or weather related pics and maps. Anything showing troop movements and battles is especially helpful.
Thanks so much,

As your 3rd graphic shows, I heard yesterday that sandstorms similar to those of earlier in the week could return "on Friday" - but I've been confused as to which Friday. I'm now assuming they mean Friday a week from today. That's correct, is it not?

That's how I read it. I've got to be honest, though, I get confused just trying to figure out if the overnight forecasts are for the night before, or after the day forecsts, because we're on almost the opposite side of the clock from Iraq.

Bumping your thread, Saber.....waiting VERY impatiently for next week when our dsl stuff arrives and this page downloads elpronto.....and when, not if, we run into trouble installing it.....you driving south to help us.

The bad news.
Just about the time wer're resupplied the sandstorms come agian.
The good news.
CWs aren't very effective in 40 knot winds.
To: Sabertooth
Good job as always.

This satellite pic shows three storms shooting across the Mediterranean from the Atlantic.
One is in the Atlantic itself, one is over Spain and Morocco, and one is between Italy and Tunisia. The last one is probably what will bring the sandstorms next weekend.

Should have flagged you to #10, also.

Thanks, Victoria. Check these out...

Great maps. Takes forever on my computer to load too, but worth the wait.
Do you know where each of the Repub Guard divisions are? Earlier I kept hearing the generals with pointers talking about the Hammurabi and Nebuchadnezzar divisions, but most recently just talking about the Medina one. I'm hoping the B52's have been visiting all of them.
