How interesting. I never paid attention that he was "black." To me he was a wonderful AMERICAN soldier, that made us proud. He's been doing a fabulous job. However, I did notice that he was a HANDSOME soldier.

Right. And if my intel is correct, he''s got a twin brother over there as well. How great would it be if, as an inside joke on those clowns, that they pulled a 'twin switch" on them for one of the briefings? They're too professional for that I'm sure but, it would be funny nonetheless.

General officers are often political choices. Many times there are well qualified officers that are not from the West Point alumni up for general slots. They are sometimes passed over for a West Point Alumni. Sometimes the selection process can come right up and slap you in the face.
