Thank you for the post. The message will have to come from black leaders. People like Jesse Jackson have so poisoned race relations in America, it will take many Dr. Whites to set things straight.

He is an outstanding individual who is not afraid to say anything. Unfortunately, the ACLU and other organizations have made it diffucult for educators to act like adults and treat their students like the children they are.

Today, children in schools have no respect for the authority of the teacher and the administration. Of course this is a generalization, but I believe there is some truth here. We need more teachers and administrators to say what Dr. White said when he was questioned, "You're in school. I run this school, and I meet with you when I want to."

Children need to learn that there are consequences to their actions, or inactions. They need to be shown this with a strong hand, as well as with a respect that is due to them as human-beings. I think Dr. White did that well, according to the article.

Citizens need to take back their schools, get liberal thinking and socialist ideology out of the curriculum, and get back to the business of giving children a template from which they can become successful members of society. We do this with a solid education in English, literature, U.S. and world history, science, mathematics and the arts.

Will this ever happen? The skeptic in me says there is no chance until society as a whole notices that we are heading into the sewer. It would take another revolution to get away from the current state of societal decay.
