[history]
Statements from Iraqi prisoners of war and electronic eavesdropping on Iraqi government communications indicate that Saddam Hussein has moved chemical weapons to the Medina Division, one of three Republican Guard divisions guarding the approaches to Baghdad, Army officials have said.

Time to get those nuclear-tipped artillery rounds on the way. They're maybe 2 kilotons each, so we'd be able to minimize collateral damage.

Hey, whatever works. I'm just hoping that we can figure out a way to neutralize those weapons before they are used on our troops.

Having Saddam use Chem weapons is scary but our guys are ready for it if he does. They train heavily to fight in a chem warfare environment (or at least they used to when I was in during the 80's). The Russians used to hold large-scale field exercises using live agents, so it is possible to survive and operate in that environment.

Your point of snipers is of note, but it ought to be employed in the Basra area. The Brits have some of the most accomplished snipers in the world. Placing these excellent assets in forward operating units to pick off the demons using women and children as shields would quickly 'adjust' the criminal activity of the Fedayeen death squads. The Marines also have some of the best shots in the world (actually, among the very best!). Splitting the heads of these murderers for Saddam would demoralize even those fanatics.

We had U2s flying befor the war. I'm sure they're out there now. They can read the licence tag on a gnat's a$$. I think it's possible we'll miss a couple, but if they use this stuff, you can kiss 250,000 RGs goodbye.

French efforts, re Turkey, prevented the 4th from being deployed in the North to push rapidly South. That treachery had better not be forgotten about the frog infestation in Europe and spreading across the globe. It may turn out to be a good thing, if the 4th can deploy and relieve the 3rd ID. The 4th is a highly mechanized battle group well equipped to drive right through chem and bio zones. This war is about to come to a weedling end in no more than 7 to 10 days. But before it ends, thousands of Iraqi RG soldiers are going to be bombed into allah's paradise. Good riddance.

What to hope for....?
This is getting so crazy. On one hand I hope that WMD are used (with little effect). I can't take the press and world opinion for the next decade if they don't
Now if they do have them and we only find the stockpiles all the better.....
Yet I fear that in all of this hoopla in the last year SADDAM has shipped most of this crap to SYRIA.......
Guess where the next war will be.......?
To: Diddley
When the naysayers at the U.N. are saying where is WMD? It was reported on Fox News late last night that it was CONFIRMED from a embedded reporter eyewitness that Iraqi troops have been seen more than once with full bio chem gear on loading chem barrells. What more does the U.N. and France and Russia want---deaths from bio chem?
To: Diddley
I think our strategy is NOT to exterminate the RG until we corner them and force their use of chemical weapons. Only then do we exterminate them.
But they may be reluctant to use the weapons south of Baghdad due to prevailing winds.

We need to get some pictures of the RG in their chemical garb with the 55 gallon drums sent to all the media.
