Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

That was sarcasm the reporters on Sky News couldn't hide their glee.
To: this_ol_patriot
Sky News saying this may be political. Otherwise they wouldn't make it public. Something is going on. I'd like to know just what's going on with the Iraqi opposition groups. You KNOW there has to be a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes in that regard.

Operational pause because they say of supply shortages and they want to put armor along the supply road to protect the thin skinned supply vehicles. Fuel use restricted and water and food in short supply at front. Soldiers rations have been cut from 3 to 1 per day. All other operations to proceed as normal.....Sky News.

Observation: Something doesn't smell right......
You don't announce a stand down to your enemies:
My guess is they have found how easy it is for the Apaches to kill the tanks that they want to let it roll for a couple days....
Also
This will use the supply line as bait, drawing out the death squads, which will be destroyed
