Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I don't think he necessarily thought it would really be easy - remember, this is not a truthful man. I think he was planting a seed that would take root, grow like a weed, and flower into the press frenzy that we're seeing now: reporters blaming the Bush administration for raising false expectations.
They don't come any more slippery than X42. Nothing sticks to him.
To: Mo1
Yes you did... Saddam surrendered....:-)
Just kidding!

Okay - thanks, Dog.
Maybe I'll scroll through days 3-5 and find what I need. Will take a few days, but it's only time and I need those reports.

I think we should lock him in a room with Neil Cavuto, who had incredibly sharp words to say today to the professor who accused him of being too patriotic.I did the next best thing. I emailed him a copy of Neil's rant, giving Cavuto credit of course.

Yeah - same ole same ole.
Oh, and some enterprising Freepers have discovered one of the people who said the war would be over in a week was the disgraced on - Clinton.
Several of us have sent that little info along with some choice quotes from a NRO article to the Beltway Boys and others.

London (KurdishMedia.com) The BBC reported today that a major attack has been launched against Ansar-al-Islam, a radical Islamist group in south Kurdistan that allegedly has links with the terrorist network Al-Qaeda.
Recently, more than 5000 Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) guerrillas had been mobilised for the attack and they are to have begun pushing towards the mountain strongholds of Ansar.
BBC reported that American Special Forces had been positioned on strategic hill top locations and provided mortar and artillery fire, and calling in air strikes from jets.

Good idea
can they be stamped MADE IN FRANCE?

Well, I for one intend to make this one stick. Remember, he got his words in PRINT in the London
Times. He can't deny he said them, or that he was taken out of context.
You know, I bet his slimey minions were also spreading this behind the scenes. I wonder if Steffie-poo is on record as saying something like this.

When has the press ever given President Bush the benefit of the doubt? And this time around the American public isn't buying it. Despite all the negative press, the polls are overwhelmingly in favor of President Bush and the war effort. The press is now looking as ridiculous as the Senate Democrats.
To: Straight Vermonter
Thanks for that info - where did that come from?

cleverly disguised screen name. You have some guts to identify yourself. I hope your political career begins while the pubbies are winning, 'cause otherwise your identification with this site will kill it in a heartbeat.

The non-embeds are milking the Kuwait bombing for all it's worth. They probably felt left out.
To: austex
Then they would think France was their liberator..
