Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Now on embedding the journalists into the troops. I think this is a good idea because when they get home they will have seen the performance of the troops and feel like a brother to them YEs, I think they will walk away with an experience they will never forget ..

Great work by law enforcement if they were detained after repelling off the bridge. Arabic descent, you say, who'da thunk it?
To: Carolina
Could be .. but I think they are airing these 3 to scare others in Iraq

Do you all think the reporters will go into Baghdad with the troops in an "urban combat" situation?
If it comes to that, I bet those fixed cameras in Baghdad get cut off pretty quick.

I watched that sorry sob last night saying he was supporting the people of his District then stumbling and saying he supported the troops too. That's when Hannely nailed his butt to the ceiling and left Rangel squirming.

Gee, based on the questions and
belligerence from this press corp, I just assumed they didn't care about our troops, our efforts.
Simon Marks from Jordan stating that 5000 Iraqis have traveled to Iraq to help Saddam's regime - Maj. Gen. Brooks said this morn that we saw this in Afghanistan, we haven't seen significant reports of this and it has not posed significant problems.
Simon forgot to preface his comments, "The known liar from Iraqi Info Ministry said..."

Are these regular looking cell phones? Sky showing close up. They look like Motorolas per Sky analyst. They look more heavy-duty than my Motorola.

Good morning everyone!
Welcome to casual Friday!
Nice to see the msnbc cam is in full living color today. I actually just saw a car slow down in that intersection instead of just blowing through.
Ragtime Cowgirl, do you remember a picture from the other day with a soldier sitting in a humvee and the flag was blowing past him? It got deleted off of that thread and I haven't been able to find it since.
