I remember at the time, there was a rumor that Saddam was moving a lot of his weapons to Syria. After today's call by Assad for jihad to support Saddam this sounds reasonable that these trucks were loading out for Syria.

Yes, the trucks of stuff are rumored to have been moved to Syria.

I think probably that there was a lot of weapons hidden or transported out of Iraq. The same thing happened betwwen the Afghan and Pakistan border with many of the personell crossing to ambush from the protection of Pakistan. Taking two years of propaganda to whip the American public up to support a war gives the enemy plenty of time to hide or move their weapons to a safe zone. This is not the brightest bulbs that we have leading this country.
