You're absolutely right, Muslims don't believe in Original Sin. How can one say that a newborn child is born with Sin? How can anyone carry someone elses sin? Contrary to what you claim, Muslims are taught humility, it is clear in the Quran. Muslims are pressed by the Quran to constantly ask for forgiveness. Proof of this is the 5 obligitory prayers a day that Muslims perform. Five times a day they ask God to forgive them, five times a day they prostrate and bow down to God. If that isn't humility then I don't know what is. Also, to claim that the Taliban was enforcing Shari'ah is insane. The Taliban were a corrupt people who are using the Quran and God's name to oppress people.

All the ostentatious prayers of the muslims don't evidence a close walk with God, but a public show of piety. They are showing fear. Not love. They are not asking for forgiveness for their sins, nor out of conscience, but are acting to avoid the wrath of the mullahs, Imams and the jihadist thugs who will encourage them to 'police' the faithful. All of this represents a huge difference that Christians, and perhaps Bhuddists and Hindus are more sensitive to.
And as for the Taliban not being the epitome of the Sharia theocratic state, it is a matter of clear historical record. You cannot revise history otherwise. I suppose you are Muslim?

To answer your question, yes I am Muslim. I am a Muslim who practices Islam in America. What mullahs, Imams or jihadist thugs am I avoiding here in America when I pray? I'm not criticizing your "close walk with God", your walk resembles what we call duaa. Duaa is not obligitory but encouraged, so in reality we do the same as you do. As for the Taliban, it is clear in Islam that women shouldn't be murdered because they are suspected of premarital sex or adultury, it is clear that women shouldn't be beat, it is clear that women shouldn't be killed simply because they were raped. It is also clear that all muslims should seek knowledge for the Quran looks down on those "who do not know" or are ignorant. Just because the Taliban claimed they were following Sharia'h means NOTHING. Osama bin Ladin sends planes into buildings killing thousands of innocent people (including muslims) and calls it Jihad, it doesn't mean that it really is. The KKK thought that God created white man supreme, does it make it true?
