Perhaps I should consider moving to such an enlightened State. Would an old Copperhead be welcomed?

No need to stay huddled in your home. Come to Texas, after the hours of darkness you can use deadly force to prevent criminal mischief. You can use deadly force anytime and anywhere to protect yourself or another from harm and to prevent any felony if it's the only way to do it.
