Fox was saying this was by the River (or might ahev been MSNBC.. I was switching a minute ago)... so if this was on the river it would make sense that it was a presidential palace.

Al Salam palace in center of town on Tigris--1/2 mile across river to nearest residential blgs.

I think something was in there that made a big boom

Middle of the City? On the Tigris? Sounds to me some enterprising Chemistry students at Baghdad U. had an experiment get out of hand.
