I wonder who's really in charge in Bagdad now...I'd have expected to see Saddam's sons out in crowd shots, and more of Saddam himself...if the decapitation action seriously impacted all of them, then indeed, no one may really be in charge..it's like a bunch of headless chickens....it may complicate efforts to cause mass capitulation...

Anyone think the administration knows more about the outcome of the strikes on SH and sons than they are saying?

it's like a bunch of headless chickens....it may complicate efforts to cause mass capitulationI agree, ken..but we're not blind. At the CENTCOM briefing this morn., Gen. Brooks said that we had contacts in the cities: "We have roughly 43 (Free) Iraqi forces (Iraqi citizens working w/us) divided into small froups 5-6 in squad, joined w/ civil defense units...they are being received rather well..." And that's just in Basrah.
These briefings allow the regular people like me to know more than the big time journalists who don't attend or listen...and thus, worry their audiences unnecessarily by making stuff up. Cads.
Headless chickens..not a bad term for anti-American W. journalists. (^;
Saddam & Sons = bunker-kill.
