Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.

In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I didn't say he'd take himself out, but if that's his only choice to avoid capture, he might try something like the UN gambit...or, the Pope, or worse yet..ask Chirac to fly to Bagdad to accewpt the surrender....

Gore criticizes war coverage (He also invented TV!)Former Vice President Al Gore criticized the media and the current administration's war on Iraq and suggested an "unhealthy relationship" between the two at Tuesday's Seigenthaler Lecture. "I admire these journalists who are covering this war who are embedded, but I don't want the owners of the companies they work for to be in bed with the government," Gore said.
YAWN!

But I really think that McCaffery is pro-Bush. He wants the troops to succeed.

Ken when you look at the new Saddam tape .....watch for the frame of the woman and Info minister guy....those frames seem cleaner than the rest of the video. Like it is two different tapes spliced together.
The woman at the table jumps in and out of the video. She comes up missing from the video at the end when the camera goes to a longshot of the tape and zoom's into Saddam..

McCaffrey on MSNBC trying to justify his remarks.
This perfumed prince prick is prattling on about plans he knows nothing about. He was so over way back in 1996. After Panama the Clinton administration wanted to promote him to higher positions but the generals at the Pentagon also despised McCaffrey (as much as those who served under him) and resisted. Even though the leadership of the Pentagon rolled over for Clinton often that is just one thing they would not do. Hence, McCaffrey retired and became the Drug Dude.

We don't get to see the press get it's daily dose of slapping down by Tori.

If that isn't an S-3 in your link i'll eat it.Which link, the one I quoted from the caption? That one shows four Hornets. Look at the twin vertical stabilizers. I put in links to the Navy Fact File's S-3B and F/A-18 pages.
I got to do 3 hours in the S-3 simulator on North Island when he was stationed here in San Diego.
Oh, most excellent! How'd it handle?

Wow! I just went away for about 25 minutes! Going back to catch up.....
"I admire these journalists who are covering this war who are embedded, but I don't want the owners of the companies they work for to be in bed with the government," Gore said.
Dumb ass. He's just jealous no one asked him to go.

Perhaps Torie and Rummy are letting the press sit in the corner after their disgraceful performance yesterday.

Nonsense. McAfferty is not pro-Bush. He is an x42 buttboy, almost as bad as Wesley Clark.
New theory making the rounds: GWB shrewdly calls for restart of UN Food for Oil program, knowing full well that the pussies at the UN won't go near the place until it is totally safe -- by then people would be dead from starvation -- therefore gives us our excuse to move forward and lock the UN out -- we gave them a a chance to help and they refused. Makes coalition look good, UN bad. Shrewd move.
