Yes, we're lucky to have free speech. However, careless speech doesn't afford dumb bunnies ANY protections under the Constitution.

America, love it, or bye, bye, fan base.

"throwing verbal stones at Maines"

In iraq, they throw real stones at innocents AND WORSE. Maybe Nat needs to study the history of saddam hussein's regime. She'll have time now that her career is over caused by her careless remarks while we are at war.

When Dubya was at Cent Command yesterday, he arrived after the entertainment which I believe the POTUS said was Toby Keith and Darryl Worley. The Prez was sorry he missed them.

Further, Outback Steakhouse furnished lunch for Dubya who dined with the troops. I don't know how many troops at MacDill got Outback vittles but I think that's really kewl.

I always try to look around to find graphics to help the thread. I think I searched for "Waitress Poster" or something.

Such as:

Secret wedding night photo of Natalie Maines and her Iraqi husband

"I still can't find out how the other two Chicks feel about this affair....I'm inclined to believe they feel the same way."

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. I saw their big interview with Dan Rather (I know, BOO!! HISS!!) a couple of years ago, and I certainly got the impression that they weren't Bush fans even then. Dan mentioned that the Chicks had been asked to play at Bush's gubernatorial inaugural bash. Emily (the brunette) admitted it almost apologetically, and was quick to point out that they "would have played for anyone" back then. That was my first clue that the Chicks might not be as groovy as I wanted to believe they were.

"Imagine thinking you have hit a gold mine being the opening act for them and then Natalie potentially screws up your chance to get your music out there."

No kidding. I bet the opening acts have been just horrified at all the backlash. It's too bad for them. For the Chicks, on the other hand, I think it would be a riot if their entire career collapsed all because of one ill-conceived remark. Not likely to happen, but a girl can dream. Even though the sideChicks probably agree with Nat's comment, I bet they are ready to punch her in her ample face! I'm sure they are all stunned at how quickly they've lost so many fans. Hee hee.
