I am really interested in some information to the backdoor 3AM legislation you speak of.

is it something along the lines of what (then) Senator Gore did with his wife Tipper's "PMRC" music censorship sensation in the 1980's, while these same bastard Congressmen used "porn rock" lyrics as a smokescreen for a hidden, backdoor tax on blank tapes and video cassattes?
