May God comfort the families and we as neighbors do what we can in their time of loss.

Army Capt. Christopher Scott Seifert, 27. No hometown available yet. Killed by a grenade when he was sleeping in a tent at Camp Pennsylvania, Kuwait, on March 22. Assigned to the 1-101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Capt. Seifert, hometown Easton, Pa., died of a gunshot wound to the back, it was reported in the Express-Times, a local paper.

I also read that he was on the promotions list for the rank of Major, and President Bush has posthumously awarded him this rank. He was the only child of Helen and Thomas Siefert. He also leaves his wife Terri, and a son, 4-month old Benjamin.
