Guy's have an unreal urge to protect women.

How I wish that were true. (I'm sure it is in some cases, but certainly not all.)

Guys (at least in the Marines) do go out of their way to protect the women. Maybe not in peacetime, off-duty situations, but on the job, or out in harm's way, you bet. The smart females would work that, and be well taken care of. I saw plenty of that in 4 years, and most of the time I didn't even mind (did some of the taking care of/looking out for myself).

Well it's true for me. I once broke up a domestic dustup in a parking lot about 15 years ago. The guy was slapping the girl around. I jumped out of my car (against my girlfriends protestations) and engaged the hombre. As we were exchanging blows, his damn girl he'd been slapping jumped on my neck and started scratching my face and pulling my then rather long hair. I tossed her ass and called her a crazy bitch and told her she deserved him. Fickle. When I got back in the car my girl gave me a I told you so look.
