Go ahead and flame me, but, this kind of cheap sentimentality is the reason that GIRLS should not be in the Service.
Where are the fawning pictures of our dead boys? WTFO?
God bless her family and I thank her for her service.

I see not allowing women in combat as sexist towards men. They are not disposable and should not be treated as such. If we only sent blacks it would be seen as racist but when we only send men, somehow that is OK? Equal rights for men.

Have the PC FReepers gotten you yet?
G-d bless this sweet young gal. Damn shame.
Why we send girls into this baffles me to my core. Why so many FReepers seem to relish "babes in battle" is disturbing.

Go ahead and flame me, but, this kind of cheap sentimentality is the reason that GIRLS should not be in the Service. I agree.
It is interesting to note the use of the term "girl" to describe this 19 year-old woman. Usually the press is crucified for this kind of "slip" but I imagine that no feminist will protest. Call it a hunch...

No flame here. You are exactly right.
