I tend to agree. A couple of F18s or Harriers would have cleared them out in no time. I don't understand the reluctance to call in airstrikes. Maybe some kind of interservice rivalry on the part of the Army, sort of "we can do this ourselves" mentality. But the Marines have their own jets, for gosh sakes.

Part of the problem is the timidity of the necessary countries to let us stage from their lands. Air strikes are hours away. Hopefully we can stage from closer bases very soon.
