They were just 'bastardizing' the V for victory sign of WWII. Same as they have been bastardizing the rest of the English language. Many products used to be advertised as for "The Discriminating Taste"; or for the "Discriminating Palate". They have dirtied many' many English words.....discriminate, gay, "V" for victory and countless others.

My generation has had to learn many of the newest terms for many things/people thru the years. We went thru several befrore the PC have settled on African-Americans. Easier to hyphenate all Americans as they do now. How better to 'divide and conquer' America....Balkanize the USA. I hate the lib/socialists.

Wasn't the "V" used in the mid-sixties because of the VC (Viet Cong) abbreviation as a twisted sign of their support?
