Rush is not a miltary strategist. Personally, I don't think he is much of a political strategist, either, since he always is advocating slash and burn tactics...but I digress.
Bush, Rumsfeld, and Tommy Franks are not going to change their strategy for the Iraqi war based on Rush's comments. Therefore, he should keep negative comments to a minimum, if he cares about morale.
The above comment is given with the caveat that I did not hear the program today. However, I can imagine the comments, having listened to some of his ranting about President Bush's "new tone" policy. In addition, if people only heard a portion and got a negative opinion based on that portion, that is also irresponsible of him, because many of his listeners only hear him in snatches as they make deliveries, sales calls, etc.
That is my opinioin, and I am sticking to it.
