Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

The basic aerodynamics involved and skill to actually keep a helicopter aloft makes it more likely that problems arise.

Ok- they are using mobil launchers. I'd just assumed that they were being launched from an stationary site.
Yes, they boogie to a new hole and it's a big desert. Still, I hope our guys run across them in one of their desert holes. I hope our guys give each one of those Rockies a sky ride on their own missiles.

Yes, but remember, it's very "quick" (relatively speaking) to switch chemical production lines from nerve gas to bug spray to insecticide and back and forth between solvent-based liquids like household cleaners, furniture polish, and commercial solvents into chemical warheads solvents....
Also, once the reagent tanks are cleaned and run through with a different liquid, its hard to tell what was in the tanks two or three runs before.
And all of those liquids can get pumped into a chemical tank on the rocket quickly.

The Australian News Service ran a story this AM about a warehouse full of rockets, large ammo, etc., much of it in boxes with Cyrillic lettering
Same story??

Not to mention they have a better football and basketball team.
My son's best friend went to Purdue. He liked it. He's fairly conservative for a young guy.
My sister's ex is a full economics professor from Cornell. He writes socialist..um...er...moderate economics articles and books.

Series and Hugh came about because we have no spell checker resident on FR. The posters were typing quickly and the rest is history. But moose and cheese and jumping into the shower....
Can't blame that on lousy tiping.

yep .. been discussed a lot. Consensus is that our troops are entering some sensitive ops etc and they don't want the embeds firing up sat phones that might give away their positions.

Crawler on Sky News says that a retired US general estimates the allied casualties at 2,000 to 3,000 in the battle for Baghdad. Geeze.
On that ominous prediction, I bid you all goodnite. And I pray for our brave troops.
