Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

He comes on later. BTW, is anyone else getting sick of Sean talking about "deeply saddened"? Why not do stories on the soldiers and not give anymore air time to RATS who are only care about themselves. There will be time in the future to diss Mr. Deeply Saddened.

Persian rug bombs.
One day in 1998 or so when Clinton was throwing limp wristed threats at Saddam Hussein there was a color photo of Saddam in the Daily Oklahoman. He was sitting in a fancy room and the persian rug was exactly like the one that we had. It was weird, looking at the rug in the photo, and looking down on the carpet on the floor. Now, the thing creeps me out.

Hope the 3rd ID got some rest last night. Today seems like the quietest day they've had.
Amazing advance by our heroes.

Frank Lautenberg : I will never criticize Sen. Daschle

Notice how Dems can never be as principled as Republicans?
If all the GOP Senators have used his words about Trent Lott, he'd be wailing!

Saddam and his boys like to attack those they perceive as weakest. Children, women, Kuwait, Iran after the revolution. That's why I expect them to turn on their own civilians, massacre them with gas to create a nation of "martyrs." Hey, it must seems to him to work for Arafat.

Interesting that the 3rd ID marched all the way to Karbala without any KIA.
Some quagmire.
To: ztiworoh
The Lout does looks saddened.......
Therefore Daschle is not only saddened, but a sad individual.
To: Fledermaus
Jeah, Dems, they should change their symbol from an ass to a sheep, as they seem to lack any independent though
To: ztiworoh
Looks like it says "Acme Bomb Company" on the side...

Thanks, I needed some new targets for the dart board.

more like sodden. NJ should be ashamed. they'd probably vote for a camel if it had a (D) after its name.
