Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

One of our priests (Catholic) came right out and said it was a just war because the alternative of not going to war meant further oppression for the Iraqi people and the balance of power had to be turned against terrorism.

If anything, the tape makes it more likely that he's dead, since it was so obviously prerecorded. You and I know that is the obvious. Not Andrea Mitchell.

OREILLY: Talking Points (which is me) is pulling form the Allied Forces.
Yeah, you think.

This is all I have at the moment:
American forces also pounded the strategic town of al-Nasariyah with heavy artillery after fierce battles and ambushes on Sunday left at least 10 Americans dead, 12 wounded and 16 missing. They succeeded in moving a light armoured battalion through the city and across the Euphrates, opening a second route to Baghdad.
http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/874388/posts I've not been able to keep up much today.

I don't know why we didn't just take out russia when we had the chance during the missle crisis....they are pissed they lost the cold war and now they're on a losing side again. Will they ever learn??

Someone asked where Col. Hunt was all day earlier, well, he's back on FOX now
Aaron Brown just said, "The lead continues to shift."
I can't begin to contemplate the myriad levels on which that is wrong.

Anyone who still belongs to the United Methodist Church (which I left last year), your money just paid for that Kumbaya ad which just showed on Fox.I sent them my letter of resignation after the ad that the bishop did with Garafolo.

Last I heard was in the AM they still were battleing resistance there and in Basrah. These battles were flare ups after foreward troops had moved out to B-dad.

general paul valalee is a guest. now on Batchelor & Alexander, he said point blank that his sources confirmed Saddam dead. No equivocation. Let's see what he says now.

I honestly believe there is still a big Communist influence in their government, especially their military; and there si still a distate for America

Fox - Iraqi TV is located in a building that houses the infirm and children
To: ztiworoh
He sure is. Did you just here O'Reilly say he was going to avoid any speculation. I like O'Reilly, but so far, in the first interview, he has speculated twice.
