Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Report I saw said there were bullet holes through the canopy, also said there may have been engine damage caused by an RPG.

Seems to me that lots of people have been required to put their cards on the table. Interesting things being revealed.

Yeah that woud be a great slam on the RG, but we don't play those propaganda games that Sadman and the rest do. I was real sorry to see Aziz was still had a pulse today!

I was listening to Libby Collins this morning on WAIT. She had on a someone protesting the war. (they are not for peace) This protester said ''If Saddam had weapons of mass destruction he SHOULD use them now.'' I couldn't listen to the rest of the interview as I just got to work. Yes I did leave a voice mail with Libby to tell her what I thought of her guest and yes I was polite. (it was hard though) It is disgraceful! I work for the Navy, and there is a man in my office who is anti-war, anti-Bush. Says he reads only foreign newspapers as the US ones are all CONSERVATIVE and BIASED!
Anyway, the other day a girl and I were talking about WMD, and how the Iraqis might use them. I sarcastically said.."Oh, but I thought they didn't have any WMD?". This man said "So what if they use them..they are allowed to defend themselves, aren't they?".
I was just so shocked I couldn't say a word.

Meanwhile, on CNBC the story of the most recent Saddam tape was spun to the view that he definitely was still alive. No mention of his reference to the 51st who gave up early in the fighting.

Try to ignore the fact that this request is totally a result of my being as lazy as a Democrat.
Earlier today, one of you posted a picture of a possible new Belly Girl (voted down, of course) who was holding a sign saying something to the effect of "Some People Talk About Peace; Patriots Fight For It."
Could you re-post that picture or tell me what post it was?
Thanks!

Don't you have a "report abuse" button?
To: Mrs.Liberty
Have you informed your superiors that this guy could be a security risk?

01:45 Electronic identifying beacon problems on British Tornado fighter may have led U.S. to mistakenly shoot plane down Sun.I heard this this morning on FoxNews. All Allied aircraft have transponders that are supposed to squawk friendly. When the Patriot system spotted this radar contact, and it did not squawk friendly, it was shot down.
