Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

From what I saw, the town-folk didn't look all that jubilant..... That was my unprofessional assessment. The video shows these people standing around, looking at someone. Then you see this guy to the right look over at this guy in green (military, possibly) and start running around in a circle.

China? We "aid" do they need?

Do we have any Americans working at AP? I don't think so. :o(

I'd buy you popcorn. (^:
Is FoxNews still #1 in cable war news? See their competitors ignoring the will of the people again.

Ugh... The 03 goes boom and leaves a hole exactly where I aim it. I don't have any other gun that is deadly accurate at 300 yards. I'm using US surplus ammo from the 1950's. Very good stuff. I have an order in for some Greek stuff that is supposed to be very good as well.
I'm still trying to find some .223 that is accurate and inexpensive. The Russian stuff always goes bang, but yields a 3" group at 100 yards (with a good scope). That's not good enough to compete with. I figure I should be under 2" at 100 yards with practice ammo. I guess I'll just have to make my own.

so basically we're paying China to screw us in the UN, and paying Russia to sell jammers, etc, to Iraq.
I hope president Bush forgets to mail off the check this month.

I have no intelligent guess as to why the trip now. Maybe to show the two living breathing leaders vs. Memorex Saddam. Just seems a little early in the conflict to have to underscore our solidarity.

No, because the anti-American Leftists have ensured that patriots won't see movies at all any more. I didn't even see The Two Towers or Gods and Generals, because I didn't want to contribute to the Hollyweirdos.

Thanks again for starting the OIF daily live threads!

Gods and Generals IMHO was such a disappointment. I like a little more action in my movies I guess. It was well made of course, and interesting, but any movie that has a 20 minute intermission needs to keep me on the edge of my seat a bit more.

I like major Bob Bevoleka (sp?) ex-green beret. Me too! As it gets warmer I am starting to wonder about the turtlenecks, though.

On 20/20 Friday night Barbara Walters interviewed some Iraqi women. They gave some information about how the "shredder was used".

My sis just told me she heard Gibson announce they are going back to regular programming tonight. I don't know quite what that means....but it BETTER mean that O'Reilly and H & C will still be doing war coverage....like Greta has been....or Fox News will lose their #1 fast!

Has anybody seen this?
CNNS Sick Chart. On this page, CNN is keeping a "running tab" on casualties - it looks like a stock chart. I HATE THEM!
