This act was true evil! I wish he was shot dead on the spot! Isn't there a law of combat that says turning against your superior officers and fellow troops in the field is punishable by death?.... Doesn't this act make him a traitor??!?! Do they still use firing squads?....After a fair trail, (b/c he is still and American) once he is found guilty, he should be punished to the full extent! There has to be something that we can do!!! God bless our troops! We are all praying for you!!!

There is: http://usmilitary.about.com/library/milinfo/mcm/blmcm.htm

Article 118 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice

“Any person subject to this chapter who, without justification or excuse, unlawfully kills a human being, when he—”

(1) has a premeditated design to kill;

(2) intends to kill or inflict great bodily harm;

(3) is engaged in an act that is inherently dangerous to another and evinces a wanton disregard of human life; or

(4) is engaged in the perpetration or attempted perpetration of burglary, sodomy, rape, robbery, or aggravated arson; is guilty of murder, and shall suffer such punishment as a court-martial may direct, except that if found guilty under clause (1) or (4), he shall suffer death or imprisonment for life as a court-martial may direct.

AND what he has earned

Maximum punishment. (1) Article 118(1) or (4) -- death. Mandatory minimum -- imprisonment for life with eligibility for parole.

As Dad of an active duty NO HYPHENS AMERICAN MARINE....I would favor this punishment:

Intercept Al Jareezer's feed and show this fool get drowned in a pit full of pork guts. Then voice in native language explain that this fate awaits all who offer resistance to our forces. AND, all "over there" who fit this profile of a killer/traitor should be sent back NOW for a permanent tour of Parris Island.
