It does revictimize the family and friends.

Revictimize? Psychobabble. You can't even tell the identity of the dead soldiers. Does it revictimize the families of the dead Jews in WWII to see their love ones stacked like cord wood to be fed in the fire a liberated Nazi concentration camps? What about the families of US Soldiers killed in Vietnam?

Thats the problem with the world today no one wants to LOOK at the EVIL.

I think it is a sign of a decent and healthy socienty to not want to look at evil.

Don't confuse suppressing facts with suppressing gory pictures. We must know what Saddam is up to, but everyone does not need to see that soldier displayed in that way. That wasn't a realistic photo anyway, it was a staged degrading of the man.

I have a niece who recently died. It was ruled suicide but there is some question. Two friends of hers but up posters with a picture of my niece dead in her coffin. My sister was outraged. It was not helpful to say the least.
