The reality is, this is going to swept under the rug, not only by the media, but by the government. It simply cannot distract from the task on hand. Admitting the likely truth that the attack was motivated by Islam will only inflame tensions.
This story will last for a day or two and then be put down as stress-related by a poor young soldier.
I hope at least behind the scenes our military brass will not trust another "Muslim-American" with the lives of our soldiers, PC be damned.

I knew this was going to happen. If you get down to it, he was probably being harrassed on a daily basis, ostracized, and not promoted because of his race and faith. (/sarcasm)
