Yes, that is true to a degree. Especially in the modern military, but the point I was making is that Combat Engineer officers are likely to have a Engineering degree, if they are on a carreer path and of necessity to the Army.
Enlisted personel would be combat engineeres with or without any higher education. The name does not imply that one is anything close to a engineer. That was what I was trying in vain at the time to explain.
