My Brother flew something like twenty seven missions without a break over Italy, and Africa during WWII in a bomber that flew so low he could see the people on the ground he was bombing. After he returned they sent him to San Diego for six weeks because he had what they called battle fatigue, but after that he was fine.

BTW I can’t remember what kind of bomber he flew. If any Army Air Corp buffs know what kind of plane that was, I would be grateful if you could tell me.
