I don't see how 'black' is relevant in this situation. Muslim clearly is relevant, but I'm unclear why 'black' matters.

Fox News has not mentioned the suspect's race, but they have said he is a "Muslim American". (Obviously, he is just a Muslim.) MSNBC has not said a word about his race or religion.
