Best answer I have heard so far. Black Muslim is merely a nice euphemism for Black Supremecist, no? But what about Lindh and the shoe bomber ---both white guys ---but Muslim. Black has nothing to do with this because Colin Powell is black and so are many of our solders who would die for this country.

If by the shoe bomber you are referring to the Briton Robert Reid, he is NOT white. His mother was a white Briton, his father was a black Jamaiacan.
Richard "Shoe Bomber" Reid

It doesn't matter to some. I am beginning to think that this thread wouldn't even exist if he weren't black and muslim at the same time. Were threads this long about Richard Reid and John Walker Lindh? More importantly, who cares and why do people care so much? He killed fellow soldiers.

Wrong....I'm not aware of any white Nation of Islam members...are you?
Black by itself does mean nothing although the seed of resentment of whites by blacks is not only promoted by Black Islam.
I'd say Islam obviously figures first by a long shot but the black angle is not inconsequential with regards to this individual.
NOI does mean Black Supremacy and is tolerated to a much much greater degree by other blacks than white supremacy is tolerated by fellow whites (today).
Just my views and observations. I regret any pall this casts over other blacks in the military in the minds of some. That would not be correct either.
Why we have black Islamists in our military is a good question in it's own right.

What does Johnny Taliban have to do with this?
Yes, he is a muslim, and yes, he fought against America. But it has nothing to do with the cult of Black Islam, which is its own peculiar breed of Black Nationalism.
The fact that Colin Powell is black, or Thomas Sowell, or Walter Williams, or anyone else is not material, as we are not discussing black men in general.
I'm afraid I don't understand what your point is here...
