That black muslims here in America are indeed a black white issue no matter how much you might wish it away. Do you listen to their White Devil speeches?

If the individual in question were a White Supremacist with the Turner Diaries in his rucksack and spouting some perverse Christian dogma would you also hope that it too would not be made into a "black/white" issue?

There are legions of homegrown black muslims in this nation who despise white folks and hate this country. You cannot claim that a parallel exists among whites in the same proportion.

The fact that I recognize this for what it is defines a distinction between myself and what I can gather from you and your replies.

You repsonded to arclight who was understandably upset since he is black and hates these implications that you too hoped the perp was not white. How noble.

Why? Because the truth is uncomfortable?

I didn't run from the truth about Tim McVeigh. I knew immediately when that happened who probably did it and I was ashamed and angry because I knew that it would tar all hard right white folks like me and that we had to condemn him for the murderous maniac he was and quick. In other words facing up to the truth.

Sorry, I'm still not clear on what truth it is you think I'm avoiding. That black Muslims exist and often speak of "white devils" is a fact; what makes you think I'd deny it? But do we know yet whether the soldier in this case is black?

I'm as concerned with the truth as anyone, as much so as yourself I daresay. But I'm also interested in winning, which means changing people's minds. The trick is to speak the truth with love; telling the truth is not really an excuse for being presumptuous about people's assumptions and insulting about their motives.

Why should you,me or anyone else apologize for anyone? It's the perp who should be apologizing. If the guy isn't sorry he did it, well what can people do? When Colin Fergueson shot up the LIRR, all I heard from black people (in between laughs) is that he's not american. How convenient. When the two guys went around shooting up Washington DC, the country of Jamaica bent over backwards apologizing. How is it that we never heard the people who should be apologizing DOING IT?!

I won't be holding my breath for NOI to issue any apology, or any legitimate muslim group. All NOI will say is that "chickens come home to roost".
