They lose guidance, and just keep flying until out of fuel, or hit an obstacle.

Better, they lose targeting capability, they have enough "guidance" to keep flying.

Sometimes the guidance systems fail and they become "dumb bombs"--go off target and well, I suppose it's wise to watch out at that point.
