Why does Gregg Dumdum insist on pronouncing Qatar "Gutter"?

Who's William Schneider? These dopes try to isolate President Bush...make him appear weaker. We should start a campaign...post to DU..."mess with President Bush, mess with me"...sign it so they can relate, eg. "middle-class white man from the urban sprawl."

The wife and I homeschool our youngest also. (Older siblings are in college/grad school) Coaches at football especially notice a BIG difference in respect, attention span etc. etc. We would NEVER expose him to Portland Public Schools.

It's a pale comparison to a woman (fertile or not. can't really tell on the battlefield). If several men are killed, the remnant can still impregnate several women in a short period of time in order to replenish the population. With women, it's once every 9 months. Like I said before, it's a protection of the species thing.
Furthermore, the stereotypical woman is physically weaker than a man, and any honorable man (such as those in the military) would want to protect them, even if it isn't tactically beneficial.

CNN's Bill Schneider...looks like Mr Weatherby on the Archies to me.....he is a maggots worst nightmare

Checking back in. I turned on the TV just in time to see the infamous jacket. It was strange to say the least.
Sounds like the B 52's are still enroute and not really any S&A has happened yet.
Is this assessment accurrate? Thanks

Its still standing, but I think even Bob Villa would have a hard time restoring it! LOL!
P.S. I love this guy . . . :o)

I wore an extremely heavy chunky turqouise blue ceramic bead type necklace my daughter made me for mothers day to church. I almost knocked myself unconcious when I bent down to pick up my son.

Why does Gregg Dumdum insist on pronouncing Qatar "Gutter"? It's driving me crazy. It seems all the journalists are pronouncing it Kutter instead of Kuh-TAHR, as I learned it. Was there a memo that we didn't get?
To: smokeyjon
I got into a discussion one time with a friend over the pronounciation of Qatar. I thought that Gutter was wrong, but after some research on the net I found that it is an acceptable pronounciation. The locals laugh if you pronounce Qatar as guitar.

I'm not sure what protocol is, but as long as it looks ok, is clean and you respect it, I can't see any problem

I once wore a macaroni necklace to work. Nothing more beautiful than a macaroni necklace from a beloved child. Wear it with pride! :o)
To: The Wizard
well, if it's wrong I'm sure the Colonel next door will let me know.

It's an ingrained territorial imperative. Don't f*** with MY woman. Call it a strength if you want. But it is a fairly rigid position, I have it, and if you're a guy, I'll bet you have it too. Oh, of course. Didn't mean to discount that reasoning. If I had a woman, I know I'd feel that way.
To: TomGuy
BBC analyst saying that the lack of response from Saddamn may be playing for sympathy from the world.
The guy is a fool to believe that, and bigger fool to report it

I learned it as "Kuh-tahr" as well. I *think* I heard an ambassador from Qatar say that the correct pronunciation is indeed "Kutter", but Gregg Dumdum here keeps saying "Gutter". I really can't stand him at any rate.

Every journalist covering a war should be required to go without food, sleep, showers at random times, learn to handle a gun, see a brutal death close up, I totally qualify.
