THE END of the Iraqi Regime is near, but the Iraqi troops in the field dont know whats happening, so they will continue to fight. I hope not, but if they dont know, how do they know to surrender

According to FOX - Pentagon says that someone appearing to be Saddam was put on a stretcher and into an ambulance. But ... no report of his condition.

If they took Saddam away on a stretcher, they've probably embalmed him by now and propped him up in chair for the next photo op.

Unfortunately, the Pentagon's plan for Shock and Awe has BACKFIRED! They aren't leaving anyone left alive to be either shocked or awed!
Now... if only they had a laser painting that stretcher... SURPRISE!

"Fox News is reporting that senior Iraqi officials, their staffs and their security details are leaving or are preparing to leave Baghdad! " Hmmmm....where oh where would they be heading? Wonder if their troops will do to them what others did to their commanders (shoot them, and then surrender.)

They may not be able to for security/secrecy reasons, but I hope they release some of these images to the public.

FOX NEWS is just reporting that we (the USA) have pictures of the panic digging and Saddam being placed on a stretcher and into a ambulance.

I believe the panicked digging at the bunker is to get at technology that will allow the launching of Weapons of Mass Destruction. The Iraqi leaders are leaving Baghdad because they do not intend to die in a nuke, or by chemical weapons or bio weapons that they intend to release as their farewell. That is my suspicion.

If Saddam was toasted in the first attack, he didn't last as long as Michael Spinks against Mike Tyson.
At least Spinks hung in for 1 minute 31 seconds of the 1st round.
And I hope little Uday Hussein (sp?) saw blood come out of his fathers eyes before he died.
That little hyperbolic bitch.

how do they know to surrenderThey took lessons in 1991...

If the area of the bombing was reduced to rubble, I just don't see how he could have even been found to be put on a stretcher. They hit the site more than once I believe. If he was there I don't see any way he could have survived.

Imagine if it pans out that Saddam and his sons were blasted to their 72 virgins just an hour or two after the deadline expired?
For President Bush, who made the decision to go with the surgical strike, it will go down in history as being one of the greatest gut calls in history. Now, imagine if we end up finding weapons of mass destruction all over the battlefield, only to find out from captured or surrendered troops that they were waiting only on orders from Saddam to launch the WMDs on our troops. Thus, the call to take out Saddam early on will be seen to have saved thousands upon thousands of lives.
That chapter has still not been written but as we sit here tonight, it is still very plausible.

"We will give our souls for your Saddam!" anymore. He's expired. Eeees dead, curtains, bought the farm, pushin up dasies.
Oh no! Look, you've stunned him! Norweigen Blues stun easily!
Looks like Saddam has kicked the bucket, assumed room temperature, gone to virginville etc.

I saw on a thread elsewhere here, today, that members of the coalition had found the "control center" for WMD's....and taken it over....Hmmmm (course, there could be more than one.)

That's the most important info. You start looking at this "is he or isn't he" debate with a "quacks like a duck" formulation.
If Saddam Hussein were dead or otherwise completely incapacitated, how would his top intelligence and defense officials act? They'd feel safe to get the hell out of Dodge without fearing retribution by Hussein, and so proceed to get the hell out of Dodge.
BTW, former SOS Lawrence Eagleburger thinks Hussein is dead for the same exact reasons. He knows he was hit that night and he knows that Iraq is defending itself the way they would if Hussein were dead.
FNC also said we can track these escapees-- allowing us to capture them and interrogate them.
