[history]
March 21, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - Chief U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix yesterday said Iraq violated its agreement with the United Nations if the missiles it fired at American troops were Scuds.
"I'm very interested to know whether they used Scuds," Blix said in an interview with the Fox News Channel. "If they're firing [Scuds], of course that shows that there's a violation," he said.

Ah, but you are assuming that the Nobel Peace Prize goes to someone who promotes peace.

Actually, I was just thinking that when all this is over, I hope we give your PM a Congressional Medal of Honor. Your PM has been an invaluable friend and ally.

Has it actually been confirmed by DOD that Iraq is using SCUDs? The news keeps calling them SCUDs but has it been confirmed? Any links to press briefings on this?

It [the Nobel Peace Prize] should go to George W. Bush and Tony Blair I believe to give these heroes a prize that has been previously awarded to people like Yassir Arabfat and Jimmuh Peanut would be a great insult. Perhaps we ought to start our own prize--the Reagan Freedom Prize, perhaps?--to give to the real peacemakers.

am I the only one who is a bit perplexed that Saddam hasn't used some rougher stuff yet? (and happily surprised, of course!) I think Saddam is too busy saving his own hide. He may actually have given orders to launch WMD attacks, but the Iraqi troops have been told not to follow such orders or face prosecution for war crimes--and they ain't stupid.
That's my take, anyway.

If they were to use chemicals or any prohibited weapon, then the whole world opinion, I think, would turn against them immediately," he said. I'm afraid not. It would bring joy to the peaceful islamists plus we have many in the US such as elenor ratface, or is that rat-ner, and tommie Dashole that need American wounded or killed so they can tell America that Bush caused this. I am not being cold or cruel, just commenting on their comments and behavior.

Do I hear the faint sound of irrelevance? Congratulations--you were the first one to hit the nail on the head with the I-word!
To: MadIvan
Ivan, I normally respect your opinion, but this would be catastrophic for the "bent one". One year an ex-president that was so cowardly even a wild bunny rabbit attacked him on camera and then the next year a Texas and British "cowboy" aka "real men", receive the prize. Oh that's right, billy jeff is going for the "piece" prize!!
