It's very appropriate. The "V for Victory" theme was used throughout WWII.

In fact, Beethoven's Fifth was played throughout that war for its "dit dit dit dah" motif (Morse Code V).

I ordered up a big mess of Victory fries (rather than French fries) last night.

And then of course there's the "Victory Kiss" in place of ............. never mind.
