The Sun reports on what it calls the "Battle For Basra". It says 10,000 British troops stormed into action to seize the key city in southern Iraq.
The Mirror carries a full-page picture of smoke rising from a missile strike in Baghdad with the headline "Mass Destruction".
The Star also leads with a picture of a burning Baghdad and says allies have blitzed Saddam's palaces and troops have warned: "You ain't seen nothing yet".
The Express says 10,000 British troops have spearheaded a full-blown invasion of Iraq and says they have come under fire from "the missiles Saddam the liar said he never had".
"Invasion" says the Mail above a picture of an explosion in Baghdad. It says Royal Marines have led the charge into Iraq.
The Independent says the Allies have begun their "all-out assault" on Iraq. It too carries a picture of smoke rising over a missile strike in Baghdad.
The Times says the attacks are the start of "A war beyond all other wars". It reports from southern Iraq, where it says Royal Marines have strormed the Al Faw peninsula.
The Guardian reports that the war against Iraq is now being fought on "Land, Sea and Air".
The Telegraph says the ground assault on Iraq began with a two-pronged assault on the strategic southern city of Basra.
The Financial Times says the operation to overthrow Saddam Hussein has been stepped up with a ground assault in the south of the country and a further bombardment of Baghdad.

Interesting. Compared to all the others, it looks like The Daily Telegraph decided that picture wasn't colorful enough and needed a bit of photoshopping prior to publication.
