Do a search on "San Francisco". You'll find more information than you ever wanted.

About a thousand people have been blocking Market Street at various points since 7:00 am, making lots of noise, overturning newsstands, spray painting "War is Terror" on buildings, doing Yoga for Peace, and chaining themselves together to block the street. We who work here watched them for a while, laughed, then went back to work. If they were intending to shut down the whole city, it has been a complete failure.

Drive a flail tank into the intersection.

Theyve had roaming mobs shutting down intersections all morning. By the time the police arrive and start arresting they move down a few blocks and do it again.
Near the federal building, according to the radio, they were puking up milk and defecating around the entrances. Etc, etc, etc.
According to the station, police dont want anyone going into the downtown area.

Cool. The bigger asses they make of themselves, the easier it will be for people to peg them for what they are. Imagine someone stuck in traffic for hours because of these goombahs. Gotta love the damage that will do to their cause. Not many things tick people off more than being stuck sitting in their cars not moving at all.

An e-mail from my daughter today:
Hey Dad! Don't know if you guys were worried, but here's a preemptive "I'm OK." It's kinda crazy in SF today. I couldn't get to work on the bus I normally take from BART, so I had to take this other street car to a different UCSF campus and ride the shuttlebus to my campus. It took forever.
Downtown SF was kinda scary too. Protesters and businesspeople were getting into fights. I really felt afraid in a way that I haven't before. Mob action is scary. I had a revelation this morning: the protesters want peace, but purely by showing up and disrupting normal life, they guarantee anger and violence.
Talk to you later! Love, Alli

Forget the bulldozer.
Use a flail tank.
