No S&A? After getting everybody's expectation up leading into the war? This is becoming real boring real fast. You can be sure the antiwar crowd will exploit this as a growing quagmire...and the financial markets betting on a quick resolution of the war will lose their upward momentum as well.

Have patience, my friend. If there is no need for S&A, why make a mess we'll have to clean up later? Even better if the bastards cave without all the fireworks, and inevitable civilian casualities, not to mention U.S. military casualities. Remember, this isn't a video game.
