You seem to have some insights into "these kind of things". Does this seem to to you like the level of onslaught Saddam would unleash given the fact that we made a pretty brazen attempt to kill him 6 hours ago? It seems that a half dozen or so SCUDS have been let loose thus far ... which seems to be a haphazard response to what we did hours ago. Do you think we could have hit some of the leadership, and this is the disorganized response of lower level commanders? I would have wagered Saddam would have let the hounds of hell loose - at Israel, the Kurds, the Turks as well as us - if we had missed him and he were in control of a real arsenal. Or should I just go to bed? ;^)

My own opinion?
Hell is sitting at Saddam's borders, and he's launched a couple Scuds/Al Samouds, fired a couple artillery shells, and several thousand rounds of anti-aircraft - and as of right now, that's all.
You're right, this is a very disorganized response. Whether it's because leadership has been knocked out - I don't know. I'm kind of wondering if it may be that the lower echelon is refusing orders, instead of just not getting them.
