3 Jews Die, MSNBC Staffer caught laughing

On Monday at 7:45am, MSNBC was covering the tragic deaths of 3 Jews in Israel. Apparently, in an effort to avoid the risk of bio or chem warfare, a mother had taped up the living quarters airtight. She was using a barbeque type grill to keep her and two children warm...

As they broke away from the field reporter and back to the newsroom, one of the staffers could be audibly heard laughing at the incident. The MSNBC morning anchor's face went pale and had a look of shock, she seemed aware that the staffer didn't realize it was audible.

I'm sorry I didn't post this sooner, and not sure if this ever got brought up. Had to get this off my chest.

There is nothing wrong with finding humor in some of these very tense situations. Lighten up. Doctors tell jokes while conducting surgery for that very reason.

Were they Jews or Arabs? I thought it took place in an Arab village. In any case, the mirthful staffer probably assumed they were jews.

This happens more than anyone would like to think. Plenty of cases like this were reported. Usually it's people who live in small spaces like illegal immigrants.

HOWEVER, if we were to change her nationality to "Redneck", this incident would probably make the Darwin awards. (Insulating the house and then using a grill to keep warm???)

I seriously doubt the staffer was laughing because this happened to Jews (most likely his laughter had nothing to do with this.....ever been in a newsroom?)

Actually it was pointed out she was a Darwin Award Nominee, just like the dude that fell off the Golden Gate today.

Trust me, absolutely not the case. Very unprofessional and they must have seen their phones light up like a Christmas tree. It was beyond any sort of excuse.

I understand your point, but WE are not a professional newsroom with a FCC license and operating under the guise of being unbiased, fair, and caring like the media portrays themselves to be.

Unfortunately, that has been done here too often. We should not have laughed at the girl who was killed by the bulldozer or the fool who fell off the Golden Gate Bridge. Yes, we can say they were foolish but delighting in their deaths is beneath us. If Castro or another murdering swine dies, however, it is Miller Time. I might also include Helen Thomas, Michael Moore, and pedophile priests on that list.
