It seems to have begun. Go to this link: http://www.msnbc.com/m/mw/mw.asp?t=V&id=live_video/chan1&sk=live_video&pl=&name=cover&opt=0 and turn up your volume. You can hear what sounds like planes (who knows, maybe its missles) flying overhead, then you hear what sounds like bombs going off in the distance. This just began about 10 minutes ago, it has been totally quiet.

Wow that would be wild if we hit Saddam with on the first try and the war was already over as we speculate.

Raid in Afganistan after Bin Ladin. 1,000 US troops.

I'm running a pool on the date that the invasion would begin. I should have had everyone agree to a precise operational definition on exactly what actions would constitute the beginning (ie. ground troops, bombing, "bombing has begun" speech by Bush) but I didn't. A classmate picked today, my father picked the 20th. Should this count? Bush spoke and they targeted Sadamm. I'm leaning towards this as counting. Agree?

CNN says Saddam to make TV address shortly...unless its a double or a ruse, we probably missed hitting him.
To: thoughtomator
Right now 1,000 US troops in a raid to catch Bin Ladin. It would be so kewl if Bush got both Bin Ladin and Saddam in the same night.
*sigh*

Well, if we get all his bunkers, then he will have nowhere to hide (except with a family with 4 children).

Initially I was very hopeful since CNN's baghdad reporter said that a "defense minister" came on the air to get populace stirred up to crush America. No mother of all battles appearance by Saddam......
With 2.5 hours and no Saddam on TV or radio (Not all stations are being jammed apparently) it seemed good..then CNN said that apparently Saddam to make TV announcement shortly.

Why do they dress like mimes?
Maybe they're hoping to be "discovered" by their Horrywood friends?
