Very good post. I'll need to come back to finish it. This jumped out at me:
"The civilization that we as whites created in Europe and America could not have developed apart from the genetic endowments of the creating people." SAMUEL FRANCIS, SPEECH AT THE AMERICAN RENAISSANCE CONFERENCE, MAY 1994,
There are other quotes in here that lend a certain credence to accusations that the paleos are borderline Nazis. This piece is quite informative, and I believe Frum places quotes like these in the appropriate context. For those who still use the phrase "Go Pat Go" when reading or hearing a Buchanan diatribe, you may wish to take a long look at the paleo philosophy as a whole before casting your lot with it. Or at the very least, don't be too offended when others throw the Nazi tag at you...

It's long been a commonplace among the hard left to label anyone they hate a "nazi". Don't be too offended when others wonder if you get your material from The Nation, Dissent, or the Daily Worker...

I've read enough of Francis's articles to be convinced that he is an outright racist. I'm sure he would be very comfortable with the idea of an all-white country. The anti-Semitism and the racism couched in patriotic terms by these paleos is very disturbing to read. My own view is that your skin color or place of origin does not make you less of an American than someone whose ancestors came from Europe like mine did. It's all in the attitude.
