Caught this from Instapundit. A declaration of war by the Neos at NRO on the Paleos.
I note that Buchanan has written a piece about the country coming together today. I agree that we should, and perhaps we can put aside the dispute for a few days, at least with respect to those who hold back while our troops are in harms way.
If this has been posted, the search engine better be improved. I searched the title, conservative, paleo, neocon, Buchanan, and Frum.

They began by hating the neoconservatives. They came to hate their party and this president. They have finished by hating their country. It's about time someone said this.

We are better off without the paleo-cons.
David Frum has done America and the conservative movement a great service with this piece today.

This had to be said. MacDonald is interesting, and his scholarly work worth reading. I don't think he is an antisemite, unless his popular stuff so implies. I am sorry to see Bob Novak in the paleo camp.

Very good post. I'll need to come back to finish it. This jumped out at me:
"The civilization that we as whites created in Europe and America could not have developed apart from the genetic endowments of the creating people." SAMUEL FRANCIS, SPEECH AT THE AMERICAN RENAISSANCE CONFERENCE, MAY 1994,
There are other quotes in here that lend a certain credence to accusations that the paleos are borderline Nazis. This piece is quite informative, and I believe Frum places quotes like these in the appropriate context. For those who still use the phrase "Go Pat Go" when reading or hearing a Buchanan diatribe, you may wish to take a long look at the paleo philosophy as a whole before casting your lot with it. Or at the very least, don't be too offended when others throw the Nazi tag at you...

Thanks for the ping!
I don't think it is an accident when a left wing fishwraps has opeds from these buddies of theirs, the Old Cons as I call them. Novak for example hates President Bush more than the Da$$hole does. Yet he is the supposedly conservative counter point in many fishwraps.
Their hatred of GW emerged during the 2000 election, and they worked 24/7 to defeat him.
When the Supreme Court defeated their liberal buddies and declared that GW had won, their hatred of GW exploded before he even was sworn in.
GW has wisely locked all of these clymers out from the White House. That has made them even more hostile and hate him more.
Should we ever find a blood money trail from the Opecker Thugs like Saddam to any of these losers in life, there is not enough tar and feathers in America for them.
I hold them in the same contempt as their left wing Follywood buddies!

David Frum has done America and the conservative movement a great service with this piece today. Absolutely. Bookmarked.
He highlighted, as he should have, the ugly racialism that is part and parcel of the paleocons.

Ah, feel the love; the insane Left meets the insane Right in a big Jew-baiting, America-hating conspiracy kook group hug. Pat Buchanan, Noam Chomsky, Joe Sobran, John Pilger, Thomas Fleming, Robert Fisk; Get a room, you guys.
Kudos to NR and David Frum for pointing out the obvious; Buchanan and his ilk are no longer distinguishable from either David Duke or ANSWER.

Novak was anti-Israel long before this Paleo thing became an issue--as far back as I can remember, at least in the early 80's. The source of his view I don't know.

They you for the ping. Major kudos to David Frum and The National Review. This article reminds me of another National Review article written in 1962, but with much more punch to it. :)

I think Frum is just pissed off that Novak took his a$$ apart when he reviewed his book.
To: hchutch
David Frum, the self-serving Canadian opportunist who got canned for violating his boss's well known rule against leaks. Your favorite hero right after the South Park cartoon boys, eh chutch?
