It apparently time to play some mind games with Saddam and his friends. Wouldn't it be funny if Aziz didn't defect, but Saddam had him executed believing the false rumor to be true? If you are in Saddam's inner circle, someone spreading the word you are disloyal makes it tough to fall asleep at night. Let the mind games begin.

Japanese press (some press, at least) now reporting rumors about
"Cuba".
Interesting, to the extent some of Saddam's 'blonde wives' may be attempting to escape there or elsewhere.
#1 wife will end up in a place, I assume, that Saddam would go if he tries(tried) to get out. My own thought is (more likely) he will let the several wives go into exile abroad, but he himself will meet a Hitlerean demise in the bunker in Iraq.
Interesting that suddenly Cuba today has announced restrictions on US diplomats' movements in Havana. That would restrict them to get around to see if any Saddam-ites end up in Havana sipping a mojito. Who knows?
I do connect the two a bit in my mind, even though the wives story is speculation at this time.

I saw Aziz on TV denying the rumors, and had the next thought: the rumors force the leadership to go on live television to deny the rumors and prove that they are still alive and communicating.
This gives our ELINT warriors the golden opportunity to fix their current locations.
