Missed you at the Rally. But it's no wonder in that crowd!! WWasn't it great!! Did speak to Governor Warner, though. For some reason he was coming out the gate as I was going in and the security people were making a path for him. Wonder why he left just as the festivities were starting??? Guess he stayed long enough to get his pictute took with the patriots.

Interesting
obituary from today's Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Susan was an eternal optimist, an unapologetic liberal and a delightful dinner and party guest. She was never a member of the NRA or of the Republican party.

"Susan was an eternal optimist, an unapologetic liberal and a delightful dinner and party guest. She was never a member of the NRA or of the Republican party." I don't like to speak ill of the recently dead, so I'll keep my yap shut about this willfully-IGNORANT Lib'ral...may she rest in Peace.

BTW..."eternal optimists" do NOT vote fer DemonRATS, this lady was a "Utopianist", which is a far cry from an "Optimist", IMHO!

Richmond's "Rally FER America!!" AfterReport Ten Thousand?! Hah!! There we carloads of folks arriving up until 2:30, just to be amongst the sea of American flags...great time, and I couldn't be prouder of my fellow Virginians!! You shouldda heard US--meaning EVERYBODY IN THE CROWD, it seemed--during the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance when we raised our voices en masse to say, "Under GOD"...hair on the back of my neck stood up!!

RTD's "Rally FER America" Article"Thousands of Virginians crowded onto a sun-kissed field outside Richmond yesterday, chanting "USA", waving American flags of all sizes and cheering the U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf. They toted pictures of their loved ones in the military. They shouted the "under God" part of the Pledge of Allegiance. And they treated a Patrick Henry impersonator like a rock star."

"Winning Big!!""We're winning, the Iraqis are losing, and the American people have executive seats for what may prove to be the most successful military campaign in history. I do recognize that the majority of our journalists are doing their best to cover this war accurately and fairly. But, with a few admirable exceptions, even seasoned reporters lack the perspective needed to judge the war's progress. Few have read military history. Even fewer have served in the military. They simply don't understand what they are seeing. Every low-level firefight seems a great battle to them. Each pause in the advance is read as a worrisome delay. While they see friendly casualties up close, they rarely witness the devastation inflicted on our enemies. And when isolated groups of Iraqis do stand and fight, the journalists imply it means the Iraqi people are opposed to our intervention. Let's try to understand what's actually happening."

yw and morning Mud. Let us hope today is a better day for our troops than yesterday.....for their protection and safety....may God bless them and protect them.
To: nicmarlo
"Let us hope today is a better day for our troops than yesterday..." Yep...yesterday was proof that WAR IS HELL for all involved, but I couldn't be prouder of OUR Troops!! The sacrifices America's made in support of Liberty and against Tyranny and Oppression are emblematic of America's status as God's Country, IMHO!!

Of course, she probably wrote her own obit.
With the left, EVERYTHING is political: take any event, be it a family dinner, awards ceremony, or even their own funeral, and a devoted Lib will try to turn it into a political diatribe to their cause.
Political activism is their god.
